Broken chromcast

I’m not exactly sure what gen chrome cast it is but I’ve recently been given one for my birthday and after plugging it in it said it was gonna restart and then the led stopped turning on. I’ve tried turning it off for a minute and the factory reset but nothings worked and the led is still off

Hi grant2,

Be sure to use the included power supply to the wall. Try a different outlet if you can.

If that doesn't work, test the Chromecast on a different TV.

I have just tried it on two other TVs and three other sockets still with no luck is there any other fixes I could try

There seems to be something wrong with that device. If you have the original receipt or can get it please try contacting support to see if it is covered under warranty.
