I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! To answer your question, yes! If you cast your Google Meet meetings to your Chromecast, both the sound and video should broadcast to your TV directly, unless you are using a soundbar. If you are using a soundbar or another form of speaker, the sound should come from the speakers and the video from the TV.
