New chromecast setup using iPhone hot spot wifi

My home WiFi is down. I’m trying to connect my chromecast to my iPhone hot spot WiFi without any luck in order to cast Netflix to my smart TV. TV won’t connect to hotspot either. Help!?

At what point do you experience issues? Google doesn't recommend the use of a hotspot, and your mileage may vary. Note you need 2 devices to setup your Chromecast to connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Turn on the Wifi hotspot feature on a phone or tablet. If you're not sure how to do this, refer to the manufacturer's support website.
Connect a second phone or tablet to that Wifi hotspot.
You can then use that second phone or tablet to setup your Google Home and connect it to the Wifi hotspot on the first phone or tablet.
