Chromecast remote not working

My Chromecast remote literally stopped working overnight it was fine one day next wouldnt work the next. I've changed batteries to brand new ones but I still don't get any light on the remote, I've tried everything

If you're still having trouble with your Voice Remote, please give these steps a try:

Make sure you've used two new batteries (1.5 volt AAA batteries).
Remove the batteries after 5 minutes.
Unpair and reset the Voice Remote, then pair it back.
Factory reset the Chromecast device and factory reset the Voice Remote again.
