Can no longer control Cync outlet by voice

I have a Cync outlet connected to my string lights in my back yard named "Patio Lights." I have always been able to turn them on an off by saying "Hey Google, turn on/off the patio lights." This week by Cync outlet stopped working with Google Assistant voice control. The outlet still appears in my Google Home app as "Patio Lights," and I can turn them on and off by tapping them in the Google Home app. But when I say "Hey Google, turn on the patio lights" I get an error that says "Sorry it looks like those lights haven't been set up yet. You can do that in Assistant settings."

This outlet worked without any problem for the last year until this week. I unlinked the Cync service from my Google Home app and re-added it but that did not fix the issue.

Anyone else experience this and have a fix?

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us.

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s check what’s going on. A few things: do you have other Cync outlets linked? If so, are they working fine? Which Nest speaker are you using? Are you getting the same response when you try your phone’s Google assistant app?

You can do a sequential reboot. First, unplug your Nest speakers/ displays and Cync outlet for 30 seconds, then do the same thing on your Wi-Fi router to refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal.
