Sending variables using IFTTT

Before google assistant V2, I had the phrase:

"ok google, zap (email message)"

and IFTTT would send an email to a set address with the message in the body.

How can I accomplish this behavior with V2? I don't see a method to pass phrases to the actions.

Thanks for the response.

Can you walk me through the example in the link you have attached?

"Hey Google activate mail Jessica can you come to the party?"

"Mail Jessica" would be the IFTTT action send a email via gmail

"Can you come to the party" would be the text of the message.

I had this working with the previous google assistant (V1) "If" function. I could define the last part of the command as a variable to pass to the action.

The link provided does not explain how to do that.

Yes, the link you sent to me does not explain the use of variables. Can you help me create an app that uses variables like the old version of google assistant?
