Google nest doorbell battery , can t get it to ding dong on cell phone

Recently installed, can it not be set up so it ding dongs on your cell phone??

I'm just another customer who has seen posts from other customers asking for the same thing, but Google Nest does not provide for a ding dong sound on our phones when a Google Nest doorbell is pressed.

@DB12, thanks for posting. Good question. MplsCustomer provided the right information, but instead of that sound you should be able to get a notification chime on your phone. If you are not getting any notifications, check the steps below.

Open the Google Home app .
Tap Settings Notifications.
Select General notifications.
Turn any notifications on.
