Clock routine can't turn on lights

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a weird issue with the Google Clock app: I can't set up anymore a routine in which I turn on or off lights or switches.

I can control everything from the Google Home app but not from clock. What I get is the message you see here below.

I re-installed the clock app with no success.

Any suggestions?

Update: after struggling, I noticed a "suggested action" about controlling devices and strangely it worked just fine. It's very counterintuitive.
