Plugs and 3 way light bulb

I have a light plugged into a smart plug...when I ask Google to turn on my tv- my light turns on also? Why. Is it because it's a3 way bulb in my light? How can I get this to stop?

Thanks for reaching out — let me help you out.

A few questions: is your TV and lights both plugged into the same smart plug? Can you control them using its native app? Also, do they have the same name shown on the Google Home app?

Try renaming your devices and make sure you named them differently.
