Hi all!
I have 2 lights (nanoleaf led strip and bulb) that are working really fine with Thread on the nanoleaf app but on google home app they are always offline.
I have a nest hub 2nd gen. I have linked the lights using the nanoleaf app and then linked my nanoleaf account with my google account.
I tried to unlink and link again, rename a light in the nanoleaf app and it canghes on google too, so the accounts linking seems to work fine .. I don't know what else to do 😞

How can I solve this issue?

Hey Ivan_Taufer,

We're sorry for the trouble this may have caused you — let's see what's going on.

What's the response of Google Nest Hub when you're trying to control your Nanoleaf lights? Try rebooting your lights, Nest Hub and router to refresh the connection. Once done, use the command" OK Google, sync my devices". You can also check this thread for additional steps that works for other user.

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Alex

Hello there,

Do you have other smart devices connected to your Google Home? If so, are you experiencing the same? Also, have you tried reinstalling your Google Home app? Give resetting Nest Hub a try to see if you'll get the same result.

Best,

To control lights with bluetooth was a nightmare, especially with home so I was waiting matter and thread to expand my smart home.
Don't know if it matters but my smartphone is a pixel 6a.

I tired to reinstall home and to reset my hub but nothing has changed 😞 ..lights are still offline on home (both on the app and on the nest hub)

SOLVED!
Nanoleaf support suggested to try the seamless set-up directly. To make it work I had to:

1 delete devices from the nanoleaf app

2 reset the devices

3 relink accounts and sync devices on google home (enables nanolef control)

4 add the 2 lights via "add new device" on google home app

Steps 1 2 3 are crucial because if you just unlink the nanoleaf account from home, the "add new device" function won't find the devices.

Now my lights are working great with Thread, using directly google home and not "import" them from the nanoleaf app.

Now I have to figure out how to enable circadian lighting without using the nanoleaf app 🤔

Hey Ivan_Taufer,

That's wonderful! Thanks for updating the Community with those helpful steps — it's a big help! Seamless set-up varies depending on the brand and model of the lights that you have. You can still try linking your Nanoleaf account to your Google Home. Let us know if you have other questions or concerns about your Google Home device otherwise, we'll lock the thread after 24 hours.

Cheers,
