My Nest Mini 2 doesn't play any music from apps.

It repeats the song I asked it to play and then goes silent. It only plays random music when youtube music is made the default player.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. A few things: when did your issue begin? Were there any changes made before the issue started? Do you have other Nest speakers? If so, are they experiencing the same thing?

You can do a sequential reboot. First, unplug your Nest Mini for 30 seconds, then do the same thing to your Wi-Fi router to refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal.

I tried all that and it still didn't work with the music apps. Finally tried it with Spotify and it worked. So that is the only app it is working with.

Got it. We're glad it worked with Spotify. For YouTube music, do you have a premium subscription? If so, make sure it's the same Google Account you've used when you set up your Nest Mini.
