Google nest mini

Hi I have a Google mini in my bedroom. When I am in the living room with my pixel 6 pro and I say

"Hey Google" the mini in the bedroom responds. How can I choose which device responds. I have tried adjusting the sensitivity on the mini in the bedroom to no avail.

When you say “Hey Google” or “Ok Google” near your Nest Mini and your Pixel 6 Pro, only the speaker should respond. If your mobile device responds as well, refer to these steps:

Step 1: Update your Google app version:

On your phone, open the Google app .
At the bottom right of the Home screen, tap More Settings About.
Look for the version number at the top.
If your version is below 6.5, go to the Google app page, then tap Update.

Step 2: Add the same account to both devices:

Important: If the phone that responds isn't yours, then these steps won’t fix the issue.

If you have multiple Google Accounts, add the account you used to set up Google Home to your phone.

See which account you use on Google Home:

Open the Google Home app .
Touch and hold your Google Nest or Google Home device.
At the top right, tap Device settings Recognition & sharing Linked account(s).
Check the Google Account(s) linked to this specific device.

Add the account to your phone:

On your phone, open the Google app .
At the bottom right of the Home screen, tap More .
To the right of your email, tap the down arrow Add another account.
Follow the steps to add your account. After you add the account, you don’t need to stay signed in.

Step 3: How to use "Hey Google"

Talk to Google Home

Say "Hey Google." (Your phone shouldn’t respond).

Talk to your phone

Important: The languages you can use depend on the device. Learn which languages work on your device.

See if your phone has the Google Assistant.
When you’re at home, follow the steps below (choose the phone you use).
When you’re not at home, say "Hey Google."
