topic Nest Hub (2nd gen) changes volume when re-casting in Home Automation

<LI-CODE lang="markup">1. I cast a YouTube video from a smartphone to a Nest Hub 2nd Gen, and lower the volume to 1 on the Hub

2. then the casting gets interrupted

3. when I re-cast, the volume on the hub goes back to whatever the cast volume on the smartphone is. </LI-CODE>
It should

use the last used Nest hub device volume, not the smartphone volume.

r determine which is lower, and use that.

You can always increase volume, but if you had it turned low for a reason, you can't undo unintentional loud volume.

Hi 111001010101111,

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: when did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? What phone are you using, iOS or Android?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.

Plug them back in after 3 minutes.

Restarting your phone might also help.

Once done, kindly set the volume of your Nest Hub 2nd Gen to 5 before casting from your phone. See the difference and tell me how it goes.

Best,

Dan
