chromecast audio hw

Hi, I need to connect my HI-FI speakers to my chromecast so I can stream google music to them. Don't use google nest because it doesn't sound as good as my HI-FI. Unfortunately, I can't buy chromecast audio anywhere that has a jack connector. Can you please recommend an alternative that has an audio out connector?

Hi okoun,

You can use any other Chromecast device along with a HDMI audio splitter.

That is the latest Chromecast with Google TV and while this would also work for audio streaming so would any of the other (cheaper) generation Chromecast devices.

Well, for example, my TCL 55C735 television, which has the latest Google TV SW, cannot act as a Google speaker and cannot even be added to the group of speakers.

Only some select TV's that have Chromecast built-in can be used with speaker groups.

All Chromecast dongle type devices apart from the 1st generation can be used with speaker groups.

Okay, I'll believe you then. It's just a shame that you can't read somewhere first which TV can do it and which can't. My TCL 55C835 TV normally has chromecast. So there are probably differences in the chromecast, but I would be surprised if it is outdated, since the TV is a model series from 2022.
