Nest Camera Floodlight Zones

Hi, we have recently installed a floodlight and would like more control over when the light turns on. Currently we have the light turning on when detecting people or animals in a predefined zone. Ideally we would like the camera to record events outside the zone but only turn on the floodlight when detecting events inside the zone.

Is this possible or could it be a new feature?

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Ensure your Activity Zones don’t overlap with one another. Remove and create new Activity Zones.
Open the Home app .
Touch and hold your device's tile.
Tap Settings > tap Events > Seen events.
Under “Activity Zones,” tap Add a zone to mark the area you want or don’t want to receive alerts about. To save, tap Confirm .
After you set up a zone, go back to your camera’s settings> tap Notifications.
Choose the zone you just created.
Make sure that notifications for any enabled events for the zone are turned off.
Go back to Seen events > tap Outside of zone.
Turn on the events and notifications that you want to get.

Thanks for reaching out. I think I might be requesting a new feature here? I want the floodlight to turn on for one zone but not the other. From what I can see you can only set the floodlight to come on when it detects an event in any zone.

I want to record events with the camera for events outside of my back garden zone for example but I don't want the floodlight to turn on.
