topic Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) in Home Automation

So I do have a ancient traditional doorbell but decided to not wire it but continually charging it is getting old. My question if I wire my nest doorbell does it use my traditional doorbell chime when someone rings it or can that be turned of it bypassed to just used my Google nest speakers?

Thanks in advance!

@k9byron

Yes. You can turn off the "Indoor chime" option and turn on the "Visitor announcements" option. We've had to do that with our older Google Nest Hello Doorbells because they're failing internal batteries otherwise cause them to go offline when the doorbell is pressed.

You might want to check your transformer's compatibility:

https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9247132
