My new (old) house has two separate thermostats. The house was built in 1915 with the original big boiler for radiator heat. There are two thermostats, one on the main floor that controls the heat via the boiler and one upstairs that controls the AC installed three years ago. Both current thermostats appear to have been installed three years ago with wiring compatible with the Nest.

1) Is the Nest capable of knowing one controls only cold and the other only heat?

2) Will the two Nests fight with each other?

3) Can I set up and control two separate Nests on the home app? (I assume yes)

I imagine I’m in a rare situation and the Nest isn’t ideal for such a setup, but I’d really like a solution that doesn’t require me to go downstairs in the middle of the night to adjust the heat.
