Nest cam video

Just purchased the Google nest camera and caught someone in our property. Went to download the video for the police but it was past 3 hours after the video was taken and now the video has disappeared. Any suggestions on how to retrieve it?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to retrieve it. "All video history is deleted on a rolling basis. This means that, depending on the Nest Aware subscription you have, older saved video is deleted from the cloud after a certain number of days." In your case, without a subscription, that would be 3 hours.

It's probably not legal or ethical for Google Nest to store video history from our cameras without our giving permission, either by buying a camera with a free 3-hour video history window or by buying a Nest Aware subscription.
