Camera not recording

My system seems to be working fine, but when someone is sitting right in front of my camera in the driveway or walking down the road, it doesn’t seem to film them. There’s nothing in the history as if nothing was there. Does anybody have any ideas?

Same issue. Mine records fine but for some reason when some one is dressed in black (like thieves) it won’t record. That’s day or night with cam quality turned up.

Do you by any chance have a Google Nest Camera (Battery) running on battery power? When running on battery power, this camera is in "Idle" mode and is slow to wake up to detect and record an event. We have had the battery camera for 20 months, and it does fine in daylight hours, but if we unplug it, it does not detect someone walking in front of the camera.
