I’m sorry for the trouble this has caused you. Let me help you out. Just a few questions: Is your Nest Protect installed near vents or windows? What type of Nest Protect are you using? If it’s a battery type Nest Protect, Have you tried changing the batteries?

The alarm is in a hallway. We did change the battery, but it kept going off. We have disconnected the alarm because it got annoying.

@Vlg, in addition to what was being asked above, make sure to use the suggested battery for the Nest Protect "Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA (L91)" batteries. If so, please try performing a Safety Checkup and let us know its response.
