Looking to purchase a Nest Smart Thermostat but I have no C Wire. Will it work?

Thanks for reaching out. Unlike other wires connected to your thermostat, a C wire doesn’t control heating or cooling functions. It only provides constant power to the Nest thermostat. Did that already. They suggested I call an HVAC specialist. So, I believe nobody really knows not even the manufacturer.
