chromecast not working

my chromecast is connected to my tv but the remote will only turn the tv on and wont allow me to use any of googles features on my tv. my chromecast wont even physically reset help lmao

Hi elianaferro,

I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should. Let’s further check on it. Try to do these troubleshooting steps:

Check that the batteries in the remote have remaining charges.
Remove the batteries from the remote.
Press and hold the Home button.
While holding the button, reinsert the batteries.
Hold the button while the LED light is solid.
When the light starts to flash, release the button. This will start the factory reset on the remote.
Unplug the Chromecast with Google TV device from the TV and the power outlet for a minute > Plug it back in.
Setup the Voice Remote.
