Ambient mode glitch

My Ambient mode has been glitching for the past week. For nearly a decade it’s given me seamless service providing me with time, temp, a beautiful slideshow and other information as provided by the platform.
last week that stopped. No more information display, well it would come back intermittently then go away again. No more slideshow, same thing, it seemed intermittent. Mostly off with the image stick on one picture.
Funny thing, I seem to have found a sort of fix.
I noticed that when I watched Netflix ambient mode would break. When I watched YouTube it would seemingly mend.
Layman that I am this makes no sense but it at least it seems consistent. Fingers crossed this issue gets fixed soon.
I use an iPhone SE with a first generation chromecast and a pre-smart LG TV.

Everything has been rebooted and updated. The glitch remains.

Plug in your Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV.
Reboot your TV and Wi-Fi router.
Reset your Chromecast.
