Routine: 404 Error

I am trying to delete a "Household Routine" from the Google Home app. When I tap the routine to edit/delete it, I get a 404 error.

I have restarted the phone, uninstalled and reinstalled Google Home, and a myriad of other troubleshooting steps.

Please help.

Hi Juni,

Thanks for your response. I was able to use a family member's phone to delete the routine... but, why did that work? Is there something wrong with my brand new Pixel 8 Pro? If I create additional routines in the future, will I not be able to edit or delete them on my own phone? Is this a known issue or am I just lucky?

I'm glad that it worked using another device. You can try to create a new routine, delete it once more, and let us know the result by updating this thread.

I have the same issue. I was able to delete with my wife's phone and then had to rebuild with hers too as every time I tried to set them up it kept pushing for address set up, which is set. I think there are issues with new pixels and the app.

I am having the same issue with a personal routine. I live alone.

How about deleting a personal routine that's having the same issue.

Thyself1985, thanks for posting. What is the Google Home app version installed to your phone? You can try to reinstall the Google Home app and observe if it makes a difference.

Open the Google Home app .
Tap Automations .
Select the Routine you want to delete.
Tap Delete Delete routine.
