Setting up lights by room when using routines

When setting up an automation I used to be able to to select and control all lights by room. Now I have to select lights individually. Ex. I have 15 recessed lights in my kitchen. Using voice control I can turn on the “Kitchen Lights” as a group however when setting up automation I have to select each light individually and set it to on or off. TIA
