Can't change devices configured as outlets

For some weird reason in the Google Home app I used to be able to configure lamps plugged into smart outlets as lamps as well as aircon fans heaters etc but now they're all labelled as either lamp (outlet) or heater (outlet) or aircon (outlet) and I don't get rid of the (outlet) part so of course I can't tell Google to turn off the fan in 30 minutes for example, anyone have any solution for this?

Using arlec grid connect smart products by the way

Same here. Fan became a switch, now cannot turn it on just by saying "turn on the fan for 15 minutes." Have to use a Routine for that now.

For me switching outlet device type to "light" breaks my automations (removes light device as trigger).
