I have had a Nest Learning thermostat for 2 years now and as of recently the inside temp is reading 80° when in fact the actual temperature is 50° inside. I have never had this problem before and do not know how to fix this. I also have a sensor set up in a separate room that reads the correct temp. I have switched it to default to this sensor for the time being but need to fix the main thermostat sensor.
Please let me know why this could be happening and what could be done to fix it.

Thanks!

Hi Ashb,

Thanks for reaching out — I'm sorry for the confusion and for the delay. To confirm, in what country are you located? Where did you install your thermostat? (in a room and on a wall or stand). When you hold your thermostat, does it feel warm or normal?

Please check your thermostat's signal strength by going to Settings Technical InfoNetwork.

Best,

Jenelyn
