can anyone help with why the heat doesn't seem to be working with the nest we set everything up correctly but it will not turn on the heat

Thanks for checking it with us. I'd like to take a closer look at it. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? In what country are you located? Do you see any messages or codes on your thermostat or in the app? What type of heating system do you have? Could you please confirm if you hear or see any indicators that your heating system is on or if it's trying to work? Share with us the photo of the wires connected to your system's control board, and on how the wires connected to your thermostat. Also, please provide your thermostat's power reading.

Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
Go to Settings.
Look for Technical Info.
Select Power.

Nest Thermostat 2020:

Open the Google Home app tap the thermostat tap Settings .
Select the Device Information.
Choose Technical Information.
