Nest Migration

Okay, we've used the Nest thermostat for years, but haven't done the migration to Google.

Now, we have a PW problem and the instruction is to use the app for a password change, But, the app (iPhone) doesn't even have the ACCOUNT portion that the instructions point us to.

Time to migrate, I thought.... but the migrate instructions also point us to the non-existent Account part of the app, so that's a dead end.

Changing PW on the old, probably dead, nest website does not produce a reset email even though the website says it was sent.

So, what's the next step? Do I need to factory reset the thermostat and start fresh from my Google account? I'd hate to thinker with that right now, it's too cold outside.

If you didn't get the password reset email,

Double-check that you entered the email address that she used to sign up for your account.
Double-check that you use a Nest account, not a Google account.
Check your spam email folder.
Try requesting the reset password email again.
If you still haven’t received the password reset email, contact support for further assistance.
