Problem creating routines triggered by Smartthings

I have just linked my Samsung Smartthings account to my Google Home app. I can see all my Smartthings sensors, but I cannot create a routine triggered by a sensor action. On the Starter details, there are no options to select 'when detects movement' etc. All it has is just the conditions for Time and days option, but whatever I select for this the Add starter button, bottom right, just stays grey and is not selectable. What am I doing wrong?

I don't have a dedicated motion sensor but I do have switches with motion sensors built in. Yes, the automations can't do anything with the motion sensors. The automations, even the beta editor, are extremely limited.
