Turn off automatic safety feature on a nest thermostat. House shut down for winter.

House was shut down for winter. All pipes drained , heat shut down. Heat thermostat is off no power to it

however, even though air conditioner units are off the nest thermostat has an emergency feature that tries to turn on heat of house goes below 40 degrees.. one air conditioner unit turned on and seems to have activated a heating section because temp went below 40 .

is there anyway to use the app to disable this feature?

I'm not sure of the situation, but any insulated house is going to need to be heated, otherwise the mould and condensation will start and by spring there will be a big mould problem. That's the reason that feature is there.

Is there any response to this I’ve got the new nest thermostats in my shop replacing the old ones and I have no need to heat the shop if I’m not using it that day it’s a giant waste of energy so can this feature be disable or not.

Figure out something here go into an edit the setting for the safety temperature and lower the temp down all the way at the bottom is a value of “off”
