How do I remove a device from google home app?

I'm trying to remove a light switch (not a thermostat, but lights are not an option in the forum label pull down) from my Google Home App. How do I do this? The switch no longer exists and there is no option to remove it. When searching the forum, answers are from 2022 and those steps no longer work. I do NOT want to unlink the app the switch used because there are other devices in my home that use that app.

Hi Jeff, I think you have to remove the device from the app then the device goes away from Google home.

That was it!!!! I needed to reinstall the original app and then remove the device. Thanks for the quick reply.

If you installed a wired Google Doorbell you must use the Nest App to remove it first.
