Are there any plans for physical Button support on Google home?

We have been asking for this for years. Why are you like this Google? Now with matter there is no excuse.

Curious what you mean by physical button support?

As in a physical button/device that you can press to trigger automations?

Without more information I would think that is exactly what is being asked about. There are hundreds if not thousands of different types of remote buttons running over ZigBee\Zwave\insert something else here or in some case I would think BLE (any flavor).

In my apt alone I have a mix of Aqara buttons and Ikea buttons. From any other major smart home ecosystem I can define a button push or multi-button push to do something. For example on Smart Things I can easily do if button pushed 2 times then do something.

With Google Home buttons, no matter the type , are currently not useable as a starter.
