I am sorry to barge in on someone else's post, but I didn't see how to start a new post. Mea Culpa. That said, the above Honeywell Color thermostat is attached to my US, heat pump/A/C. It is a Trane American Standard unit. On the Honeywell w and o/b are one terminal. On the Nest they are separate. In any case the heat doesn't work with the orange wire in O/B regardless of whether I've selected 'O' or 'B'

Again, sorry for interrupting a thread, but can you help please?

Psloss

I checked the Google compatibility checker before buying and it described it as compatible. While proceeding through loading the thermostat onto the Nest App it now says that Pro Help is needed?? My 7 wires are as follows Terminal to wire color:

O- Orange

R- Red

Y1- Yellow

E/W1-- Brown

C- Blue

G- Green

W2- White

Please advise the proper wiring setup

Hi our20th,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I’d be happy to help you with your question. Let’s check it out.

A few questions: which country are you located in? What is the make and model of your HVAC system and the existing thermostat?

Please post a photo of your current thermostat wiring so we can take a look. Below are the steps on how to upload a photo or video:

Hit reply or start a new post.

Click Insert Photos.

Choose an image source location.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Also, you can tap the "Drag and Drop" option. The maximum attachment is 5 MB.

Keep me posted.

Regards,
