Setting nest safety temperature below 95

I've looked and I cannot find a clear answer, I'm sorry if it's in front of my face. I'd like to lower the safety temperature to 85 as we're going away and we live in socal where it's over a 100f. How did I do this. Please no useless apologies, just make it clear how to do this.

Depending on the type of Nest thermostat you have, you can set the Safety Temperature on the thermostat itself, the Google Home app, or the Nest app.

I don't feel like you're reading what I'm saying . I've gone the screen you speak of. I can't get the slide to below 95. I ended up using the eco between 80 and 85. I seems like same thing?

Yes, all of these reps are giving boilerplate responses for a CLEARLY BROKEN FEATURE THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. Hello? Google/Nest? Fix it.

It's never worked in years, no way to adjust safety temp below 95, guess my dog will just die if there's an emergency. Such a joke, can't wait to switch my nest out with another brand.

I feel the same way! I want my safety temperature to be like 72-74 for cooling because of my dogs…I want to be able to get a notification while I’m at work if the temperature in my house goes above 72…so I can handle it if I can’t get it to cool down remotely… how hard is that for them to fix this? 😞 it’s not only a safety issue for dogs, but for people with certain health conditions too. I’m also super disappointed.

I thought google nest was better than the cheap no name brand I had, but to be honest it had more features! When my AC broke as soon as my home got to 80 it sent me an alert. Google nest doesn't do that? That is ridiculous!
