Thanks for reaching out. Chromecast is available on all platforms, including Chrome OS, Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. There are no specific hardware requirements in order to install or use the Cast button. However for Linux, please be advised that the results will vary depending on OS distribution, driver support, and desktop environment. See the info here. Also, you may check this support website article to see how you can cast a Chrome tab on your TV.
