Can I adjust when it records?

I recently purchased the google nest doorbell camera and installed it on my apartment door. I noticed one neighbour in particular looking at it and shaking his head and muttering. Last night, a security taking a photo of my door. Im wondering if this neighbour complained.

My question is: is there a way to adjust WHEN my doorbell camera records? Like, can I adjust it to ONLY record video when someone stops in front of my door for 10 seconds or more? This way, if a complaint were to be lodged against me, i could say that it only records people when they stop in front of my door for too long, and that if they are just passing, they wouldnt get recorded.
