I am trying to replace a current digital doorbell system that has a capacitor wired into the doorbell push button. I believe it is there to elongate the push period and allow more energy to get to the chime .. If I initiate a connection via the wires .. if there is a quick connect the chime is a short ring, but if connected for a second or more, you get the full chime version.

The doorbell light is blue but it is fading in and out not solid .... I have installed Nest doorbells before but cannot get this one to work ..

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated ..
