Chromecast not visible, only in Google Home App

My chromecast isn’t visible in apps like youtube and netflix. It does appear in the Google Home app, and I can change the backrgound and other setting here, so it is connected. The only time the chromecast shows up in apps is when I completely reset it, delete all my houses and set is up again. Can anyone help?

What Chromecast model do you have?

In the meantime, please check the following:

Make sure the mobile device, tablet, or computer you're using to cast is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast, Google TV Streamer (4K), or TV with Google Cast.
Ensure that all location permissions are allowed for the casting app. Some cast-enabled apps require location permissions to function properly.
