Open hub when aqara G4 button is pressed

My G4 seems to work well. I can ask hub to stream G4 and it does. But for some reason I can't get an automation to work when the doorbell button is pressed. Any idea how I would get this to work?

Hi Taff_D,

Thanks for posting. I understand that you want your Aqara G4 camera to show the live video on your Nest Hub when someone presses the button to ring it. Don't worry, I can help. In this case, you can just confirm that you add the Aqara G4 with these steps:

Open the Google Home app.
Verify the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap another account or add another account.
At the top of the screen, verify that you're using the home where you added your Chromecast and speaker or display. To switch between homes, tap the triangle next to the home name.
Tap Devices > Add > Works with Google Home.
Choose your camera manufacturer from the list to finish setup.

After that, you can try with this:

Open the Home app.
Tap and hold your device's tile.
In the top right, tap Settings > Doorbell.
Turn visitor announcements on or off.

You can check detailed information on the "Get doorbell visitor announcements on a speaker or display" article.

many thanks for your reply. Sorry I can seem to get the choice of selecting doorbell. I get past works with google home but when I choose "Aqara for EU and UK " then it only says Aqara for EU and UK, reconnect account or unlink account.

Thanks for your reply. In this case, please select the option reconnect account and follow the steps provided by the device maker to set up your smart home device, and then we can link that app with the Google Home and make it work with the steps provided above.

Thanks for replying. In this case, we recommend giving our friends at the Aqara community a shout. They're the best team to help you set up the doorbell on their app. But please let us know if you need more assistance with the Google Home app once you finish the first set up with the Aqara app.
