When will Google Home allow Nest Cam motion be used as trigger in Google Home automations?

When will Nest Cam motion be supported as trigger in Google Home automations? I know such function already exits, but any plan on when it will be turned on for the public?

And what motion sensor devices are supported as a start trigger in the routines if not a nest cam?

The routines are near dumb in the age of AIs without been able to use camera motion trigger as starter.

Hi all,

As of November 2024 I was able to have Motion from a Nest Cam battery trigger a Kasa TPlink via google home to turn on. At first, I tried it and it didn't work. Then I called Google support and it looks like they enable it on their end so the automation and/or routine can function. Once they did that, it was working flawlessly.
