Hi @JeffPinner

Here is the Google documentation on emergency calling: Emergency calling with Nest Aware - Google Nest Help

If you are in the US, set up a personal routine (vs. household) and you should be able to add 911 as an action. Some localities don't use sms for 911 so try a call. This is just my 2 cents and please follow the official instructions I linked. above. Also edit: I would not rely on routines for emergency use. They can be janky. You could use a verbal command to your Google device to call emergency services. A smart watch with calling capability is also a great option.

At 69, I live alone in my widowhood, and have automated much of my home using Google/Nest. I need to be able to get emergency services in case I do not have my Android phone (Samsung), but when I try to send a text in a Routine, all I get is "I' sorry, but I can not send a text from Google Home." WTF am I doing wrong? 🤪
