Trouble adding my wired nest cam to google home app

Hello

I am trying to add my new wired nest cam to my google home app but is asking to buy a hub to control with google but I already have other camaras in my google home app already. What can I do to add it with out a hub?

Where are you encountering this message? We have 1st and 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells and have never encountered such a message or requirement during any of our installs.

After you click on the "+ Add" button and select "Device", are you by any chance selecting "Matter-enabled device" rather than "Google Nest or partner device"?

For Matter-enabled devices, you do happen to need a "Matter-enabled hub for Google Home":

Otherwise I don't know what's going on in your case.
