Nest app instead of google home

I have 4 cameras at my house and I use the google home app but it only shows when it detects an event. I want to use the nest app because you can see the the history of all day even if an event didn’t happen. Does the newer google cameras work only on the google home app and not the nest app? I would like to use the nest app just for that reason.

Unfortunately, as we discovered when we bought a 2nd gen battery camera in Sept. 2021, the 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in Sept. 2021 work only in the Google Home app and not the Google Nest app.

However, if you have a Nest Aware Plus subscription, you CAN see video history for the last 10 days even if an event didn't happen. We have 24/7 video history for our battery camera (plugged in with the optional power cable).
