SimpliSafe system disarm as a starter for automation

I have SimpliSafe added to my Google Home account. I understand that integrations with SimpliSafe are limited, but I do see that arming to Home and Away are starters, but not disarming. I’d like to have “Disarm from Home” or “Disarm from Away” as starters as well for further automation (for example, turn on lights when I disarm my system from Away mode. Is this a limitation from Google or from SimpliSafe?

I’m sorry for the inconvenience that you’ve experienced when trying to use your SimpliSafe system as a starter for automation. I can see that you want your system to get disarmed when the status changes to Home or Away. And also you want to use the disarmed system as a starter to turn on lights. Let me help you with this.

If one device is already doing an action and works in a routine, in this case the SimpliSafe system being disarmed with Home and Away, it cannot be used as a starter of a different routine or automation. You can also contact the manufacturer to request the device support more routines.

You can also try creating your own script to have some more advanced routines and home automations following the next article: Create advanced home automations with the script editor.
