    <description>&lt;P&gt;I just bought a Google outdoor camera (battery) and a google door bell 2nd Gen, and I can't add any to the Nest App. I tried:&lt;BR /&gt;- Adding from the Nest App.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;-&amp;gt; This option says I have to add them through the Google Home app. So I did.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Once setup, I looked for settings, but I was unable to find anything that would sync the devices with the Nest App.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Google search, the assistant gave me multiple options to follow, they didn't work, most of the time the settings were incorrect after the 2nd step.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Contacted Google support over the phone, when I got to the Google Nest devices (2-2-4) then it say the number is unavailable.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Last, tried signing out and back in from the Nest App account, but this didn't help either.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any advice on what to do next? I can't believe these are partner companies and their products only work one way?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/640693"&gt;@carlosag012&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Google Nest's 2nd gen cameras and doorbells get installed ONLY in the Google &lt;STRONG&gt;Home app&lt;/STRONG&gt; and NOT in the Google &lt;STRONG&gt;Nest app&lt;/STRONG&gt;. We discovered this when we bought a battery camera in Sept. 2021, and have been using 2 apps ever since.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is now possible to "transfer" all 1st gen cameras and doorbells from the Google &lt;STRONG&gt;Nest app&lt;/STRONG&gt; to the beta "&lt;EM&gt;Public Preview&lt;/EM&gt;" version of the Google &lt;STRONG&gt;Home app&lt;/STRONG&gt; (&lt;A href="https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Expanded-support-rolling-out-all-Nest-Cams-can-transfer-to-the-Google-Home/ba-p/656949" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Expanded-support-rolling-out-all-Nest-Cams-can-transfer-to-the-Google-Home/ba-p/656949&lt;/A&gt;). We are not using the "&lt;EM&gt;Public Preview&lt;/EM&gt;" version (it has been in "&lt;EM&gt;Public Preview&lt;/EM&gt;" status since November 2022) and are NOT "transferring" our 1st gen cameras and doorbells because the Google &lt;STRONG&gt;Home app&lt;/STRONG&gt; still lacks many &lt;STRONG&gt;Nest app&lt;/STRONG&gt; functions (&lt;A href="https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/13038234#zippy=%2Cnest-app-only-features" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/13038234#zippy=%2Cnest-app-only-features&lt;/A&gt;).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;P.S. You CAN view all of your 1st and 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells on the "&lt;EM&gt;Public Preview&lt;/EM&gt;" &lt;STRONG&gt;home.google.com&lt;/STRONG&gt; website.&amp;nbsp; (That's also been in "&lt;EM&gt;Public Preview&lt;/EM&gt;" status for a couple of years.)&lt;/P&gt;</description>
