      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello!!! I need help, I use my personal hotspot to connect with my chromecast, and last week was normal! Then suddenly started to not connect anymore!!!!! &lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I’m sorry to hear that your Chromecast device suddenly started to not connect to your hotspot and is showing a message on your TV screen that says, “IP configuration failure.” No worries, help is here.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;What type of Chromecast device do you have?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Have you tried to reboot your Chromecast?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Are you using the latest version of the Google Home app to set up your Chromecast?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Has your mobile device received any update?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Is your Chromecast connected to the same network as your mobile device?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;In the meantime, please try with the following recommendation:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Check on your iPhone if the local network is allowed to the Google Home app.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;On your iOS device’s home screen (iOS 14 or later), tap Settings.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Tap Privacy &amp;amp; Security Local Network. You’ll find a list of apps.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Turn on Local Network for the app(s) you would like to allow access to your network. This will allow permissions for your device to discover Cast-enabled devices.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Even though Google streaming devices may sometimes work with hotspots, currently it is not supported by Chromecast. I recommend you use a WiFi network or Ethernet.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
