From Google home it keeps telling me that my Chromecast cant be authenticated and to contact support.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who woke up to this problem. Done everything. Reset Chromecast, gave new address, reinstalled home app. The app finds the Chromecast but when setting it up says cannot authenticate.

Estoy en la misma situación desde la mañana de hoy... Uno ya no puede autentificarlo y ya le hise todo... Solo me funciona uno,pero en la app home ya no memqparece pero si puedo conectarme solo al transmitir desde la app de streaming

Same issue here. I'm guessing they are trying to fill up landfill around the world by making their technology redundant online with their environmental policy and crooked agenda. The added bonus for them is that millions of people will have to go buy new devices that they don't want and didn't need until this morning making them billions of dollars in the process. Sounds like a corrupted system working extremely well for the biggest profit making companies in the world. Are e all going to stay silent and just go buy a new one and throw the old one in the bin. Most likely. I think i might just stop using google altogether. I'm so over this repeated corporate theft via obsolescence. It's outrageous
