C-cable Solar Panel for Nest Doorbell

The Wasserstein solar panel wasn't generating sufficient power for our Nest battery-powered doorbell. I found a better panel option, that connects via type c. We modified the bracket to be able to plug into the c-cable (please fix the location of this on future models...it's like an Apple mouse pad charging scenario!) but the video won't turn on while charging via c (it thinks its charging off bracket).

I think this is a Google programming challenge that could be addressed in a future update, but perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

It sounds like a software limitation where the Nest Doorbell disables video while charging via USB-C, possibly treating it like a standard power source instead of a continuous power supply. You’re not necessarily doing anything wrong. Google may need to address this in a future update. You could try a different power adapter or check Nest’s settings, but if it persists, it’s likely a firmware restriction.
