if you havent'r reset your chromecast follow these instructions:

Google Home still won't work fully but you can cast from any other video app

if you already did a factory reset after the factory reset:

- just disable the auto sync of the date on your mobile and change the date to prior March 8th (i set it to march 3rd)

this will allow you to bring your chromecast back online then you'll be able to apply the workaround

Hola, puedo preguntar como haces para quitar configuración automática y pones la fecha manual, esque en mi pantalla de tv solo aparece la sugerencia que descargue la app y luego en mi celular en la app solo me da opción de configurar

It worked for me. I had already performed a factory reset. By disabling auto-sync and setting the date to March 3rd on Android, I was able to set up Chromecast on Wi-Fi, and then it upgraded the firmware automatically.
